A Different Call of Duty

When war came to Ukraine, the small Krakow, Poland-based wing of Infinity Ward (the prevailing studio behind Call of Duty’s Modern Warfare II) acted quickly to house and care for over a dozen refugees — support they continued to offer all year, even as they were heads down on the biggest entertainment launch of 2022. As soon as I heard about their story, I knew it needed a bigger audience; I wrote this profile for our English language newsroom and partnered with our Marketing team in EMEA to translate it into Polish and share with European audiences. The story saw 83 million impressions in Eastern Europe and was picked up by the Washington Post. Very proud to work with these guys
